Team

Join Scout Motors, carrying forward the heritage of an iconic American vehicle dating back to 1960, now electrified and digitized for the future. You'll help design, develop, maintain, and release iOS applications for electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs with all-electric and Harvester™ range extender powertrains.

Responsibilities

• Help design, develop, maintain, and release iOS applications
• Drive technical architecture and implementation of mobile platform and solutions from the ground up, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Grow the knowledge of the team through pair programming, code reviews, presentations, example code, and documentation
• Implement programming best practices, deployment processes, and monitoring for mobile platforms
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in mobile development, advocating for adoption of new tools and techniques

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering shipping customer-facing applications on iOS
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
• Solid understanding of mobile platform architecture, UI/UX design principles and frameworks, GraphQL, mobile security, and performance optimization techniques
• Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, and mobile release processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience operating in start-up settings, launching 0 to 1 product, and driving graduation to highly customized applications
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Passion for mobile technology and commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building systems in the automotive industry, or experience working on IoT devices
• Experience with mobile app testing, experimentation frameworks, and automation frameworks
