Join Guitar Center's omnichannel technology team focused on Express Checkout POS and retail solutions. You'll lead architecture, design, and implementation of iOS features for the largest retailer of musical instruments and equipment.
• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of iOS features for retail applications
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
• Ensure performance, accessibility, reliability, and security of applications
• Integrate AI-assisted workflows and coding assistants (Copilot, etc.)
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming
• Lead incident response and drive continuous improvement
• Drive CI/CD practices for iOS development
• Develop using Swift, SwiftUI, async/await/actors, Xcode, and MVVM
• Integrate with RESTful APIs, JSON/XML
• Work with cloud services (AWS/Node.js/Java/NoSQL) for backend integration
• Write tests using XCTest/Swift Testing
• Use SPM for dependency management
• Work with event-driven architectures
• 8+ years total software development experience
• 5+ years iOS development experience
• Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
• Experience with async/await and actors
• Mastery of Xcode and iOS development toolchain
• Strong understanding of MVVM architecture
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Node.js, Java, NoSQL)
• Experience with SPM (Swift Package Manager)
• Proficiency with XCTest and/or Swift Testing
• Experience with CI/CD (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitLab)
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures
• Experience with AI coding assistants (Copilot, etc.)
• Experience in retail or e-commerce domains preferred
