Join Verily, a subsidiary of Alphabet launched from Google X in 2015, using a data-driven approach to transform healthcare. You'll own features of Verily Me, a patient-facing app, working closely with Product, UX, Test, and compliance owners to deliver a best-in-class health experience that helps users manage chronic health conditions and participate in clinical research.
• Design, implement, launch, and maintain critical user-facing features in an iOS app core to Verily's business, with opportunities for end-to-end and cross-platform feature development
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions
• Collaborate extensively across engineering teams (mobile, backend, frontend) and cross-functional teams (UX, PM, Test, QE) to deliver high-quality, regulated, and impactful software
• Align with Android engineers to ensure cross-platform consistency and find opportunities to improve mobile developer productivity
• Work closely with Product, UX, and Quality on defining requirements, designing mocks, and implementing regulatory protocols
• Help all functions understand engineering tradeoffs to ensure smooth implementation across the system
• Strong CS fundamentals with BS Computer Science degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
• 3+ years of experience in developing iOS mobile applications in an industry setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Native app development experience in Swift and SwiftUI
• Qualified applicants must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States
• Knowledge of modern iOS frameworks and architecture (e.g., TCA)
• Passionate about UX with high empathy for users
• Familiarity with automated testing
• Some experience with full-stack development, including backend services and web frontends
• Enthusiasm for building high-quality, public-facing iOS apps — hobby projects on the App Store are a plus
