Mobile Software Engineer - iOS

Team

Join Barclays US Consumer Bank technology team delivering the Easypay mobile experience and real-time transaction capabilities serving millions of customers. You'll own native iOS development end-to-end, from architecture through App Store release, collaborating with product, design, and backend engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies
• Participate in code reviews and promote culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations
• Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
• Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability

Requirements

• Solid experience building production iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
• Sound understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) along with UIKit and SwiftUI frameworks
• Experience with RESTful API integration, secure data handling, and mobile authentication flows
• Familiarity with iOS release pipelines, App Store submission, and CI/CD tooling
• Ability to write testable, well-structured code with unit and UI test coverage

Other Highly Valued Skills

• Android development experience (Kotlin and Jetpack Compose)
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile using Fastlane, Bitrise, and GitHub Actions
• Background in financial services, transaction processing, or card servicing domain
