Join Capital One Travel, a fast-moving, highly innovative digital-first business within Capital One’s Premium Products and Experiences organization. You'll help transform the way customers book travel, building an industry-leading travel booking platform that customers love while powering the headline marketable benefits of credit card products.
• Spearhead development of iOS features focusing on SwiftUI and reactive programming to fulfill Capital One Travel objectives
• Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, and Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high-performing quality customer experiences
• Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, ensuring team commitments are delivered on time and of highest quality
• Be an active advocate of the mobile platform through internal and external developer communities
• Remain an active learner in mobile development technologies (Swift, Kotlin, 3rd party libraries)
• Mentor junior to mid-level team members
• Engage with developers outside the local sprint team across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web)
• Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects
• Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams
• Identify technical obstacles early and work with the team to find creative solutions
• Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms
• Bachelor's Degree
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply)
• 3+ years of experience building iOS applications
• 3+ years of experience with Swift
• Master's Degree
• 5+ years of experience building iOS applications
• 4+ years of experience with Swift
• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
• 2+ years of experience with Agile practices
