Join Tesla's Vehicle Software Mobile team to shape the future of autonomous transportation. As a core contributor to the Tesla and Robotaxi mobile apps, you'll own features that enable customers to summon, track, and interact with fully autonomous vehicles — from requesting a ride to frictionless entry, trip planning, real-time vehicle status, and media control.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, debug, and own features from concept to release for Robotaxi and Tesla mobile apps, primarily on iOS
• Work closely with Design, Firmware, Vehicle UI, Autopilot, and Backend teams to create seamless user-robotaxi interactions
• Own full development lifecycle of mobile features: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Contribute to evolution of mobile architecture to support future Robotaxi scalability and reliability
• Continuously improve app performance, usability, and customer delight

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar area (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in iOS Development
• Proficient in Swift, Objective-C, and React Native
• Familiar with TypeScript or JavaScript
• Experience with React/React Native is preferred
• Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts and complex technical problem-solving
• Experience using common design patterns with high standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance
• Experience creating, maintaining, and shipping top-ranking mobile apps
• Passionate about iOS as a platform — know what features you would want on Tesla and Robotaxi apps

• Sr Software Development Engineer: 168,000−168,000−252,000
• Staff Software Development Engineer: 200,000−200,000−300,000
• Sr Staff Software Development Engineer: 240,000−240,000−360,000
• Principal Software Development Engineer: 264,000−264,000−396,000
