iOS Engineer - Offroad

Team

Join onX, a high-growth tech company helping people confidently explore the outdoors. You'll focus on off-road mapping and navigation as part of the Offroad team, supporting reliable trail navigation and land-use intelligence for Overlanders and Trail Riders.

Responsibilities

• Develop user-facing features in onX Offroad app using SwiftUI and UIKit
• Integrate with internal platform services and third-party APIs to deliver connected app experiences
• Write quality code, tests, and review pull requests promptly
• Participate in iOS team architecture and code standard discussions
• Contribute to quarterly planning by proposing technical solutions aligned with product goals
• Collaborate effectively with other team members in verbal and written communication
• Leverage AI in daily work by integrating experimentation into real work, continuously refining its use with sound judgment and validation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
• At least 2+ years with iOS development as professional focus
• Strong curiosity for exploring new technologies, including AI
• Ability to demonstrate onX's Company Values
• Permanent US work authorization required
• Ability to travel quarterly for multiple days to a corporate office or other onX strategic location (Basecamp)

• Background writing unit, integration, or UI tests (XCTest, Quick/Nimble)
• REST/GraphQL API design awareness from mobile consumer perspective
• Experience collaborating closely with product and design teams
