Awear is building the operating system for the next generation of computing — one where AI agents replace apps and technology finally works for you instead of the other way around. The company is a stealth-mode startup with a world-class founding team with deep roots in consumer AI, extended reality, and wearable technology — including founders of some of the most recognizable hardware and software platforms of the last decade. Awear is backed by strategic partnerships with leading silicon and manufacturing companies. The company is building an Agentic OS where users experience always-on contextual AI with no app icons, no menus, and no friction, including a wearable device experience.
Awear is hiring its first mobile engineers to build the iOS and macOS client experience from the ground up. The iOS engineering team will own the core iOS client for the Agentic OS, iterating on an existing Swift/SwiftUI codebase and expanding it toward full MVP release. Engineers will build the agent interaction layer (the surface through which users experience always-on contextual AI for the first time, with no app icons, no menus, and no friction), the memory and context UI (making the platform's persistent, encrypted memory layer feel intuitive and trustworthy), a companion mode that previews the wearable device experience, and on-device processing integrations (minimizing cloud dependency and maximizing what runs locally on device). The role includes direct access to closed beta users (friends and family release) for rapid iteration based on real user feedback.
Mobile development in this context focuses on Swift and SwiftUI for iOS and macOS, iOS platform patterns (lifecycle, state management, background processing, permissions, notifications), on-device ML frameworks (Core ML, Create ML) for local processing, always-on or background audio processing, privacy-preserving on-device data architectures (encrypted memory layer), wearable or AR companion app experience, AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) as a core part of workflow, and building consumer-facing products where UX quality and interaction polish matter as much as technical correctness.
A stealth-mode agentic AI and wearable technology startup like Awear hires:
These roles focus on building the first iOS and macOS clients for a next-generation Agentic OS that replaces traditional apps with always-on contextual AI, working directly with the CEO and a small, high-trust engineering team across Silicon Valley and Paris. Engineers will shape the interaction model of a platform that doesn't exist yet, build persistent encrypted memory layers that feel intuitive, enable on-device AI processing with Core ML, create a companion mode that previews the wearable experience, iterate rapidly with closed beta users, and use AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) as a core part of the workflow — all while working fully remote with significant equity and influence over how the platform feels to use, not just how it works.
